A Network of Like-Minded Christians Throughout the Midwest

Welcome to the American Heritage Party Midwest Blog,

I decided to start this blog as a means of networking like-minded Christians who are scattered all throughout the midwest, Christians who are interested in real long term political change.

We believe that it doesn’t take a majority to affect real change, it takes as one theologian has said “a dedicated minority who stand unconditionally on their faith.” It our hope to find this dedicated minority and by covenanting together under the banner of the AHP, begin the process of effecting real political change for the future.

From this dedicated minority, through the vehicle of the AHP and its commitment to the development of future Christian political leadership and accountability, real leadership for the future will emerge. Remember, it is by the grace and providence of God, and faithful leadership, that men and nations are changed.

With this in mind, for the next few years we are committing ourselves to finding this dedicated minority throughout the Midwest.

We believe it is a time for building the network infrastructure in the Midwest, a grassroots season of building for the future. Would you consider helping us?

Remember, the American Heritage Party is still a very young party and many good Christians do not even know we exist.

Also, you could help us to spread the word by informing us of any events throughout the Midwest where like-minded Christians might be. We could get some exposure by setting up an American Heritage Party information table there and possibly meet interested Christians.

Is the Gospel powerful enough to save even politics?

I believe it is, however, I also believe that the current way many concerned Christians have been going about “politics” has failed. Why? Chiefly because Christians have been re-actionary. Today’s Christian must begin to understand that we must build instead of react. This dedication to building up instead of reacting was the primary reason why I joined the American Heritage Party.

I believe the American Heritage Party has the right political vision for the future, because:

First and foremost the AHP is committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Fidelity to the universal Lordship of Jesus Christ must be our first principal and our first commitment if we ever expect to succeed as an effective influence in the realm of politics in this nation.

Second, the AHP is committed to the development of Christian political leadership. In my opinion America needs leadership more than ever, we need Christian Statesmen. These Christian statesmen need to be trained at how to apply their convictions in the political sphere. The Studies in Christian Statesmanship™ training materials and video curriculum have been developed to equip the statesmen in a Christian world-view, to give him the tools he needs for political leadership. It is our hope to develop men of understanding, men of courage, and men who will stand uncompromisingly on their Christian convictions.

Third, unlike other political parties, the AHP has an accountability structure that will keep it true – from mission drift in the long run. They have corrected the problem with political compromising that other parties are prone to. The AHP is not committed to winning at any cost, this is the downfall of our current political parties. The tendency toward winning at all costs leads to a steady erosion of principal (we see this with current political parties) a continual deterioration in the name of compromise. I asked myself How am I as a Christian to associate myself with a party given to compromising everything I believe is right? What I saw different in the AHP is an “Explicitly Christian Platform” The AHP understands that our responsibility as Christians is not to prevail in elections but to faithfully represent God’s perspective to the people and leadership of this nation.

Finally, the AHP has lay the foundation for a long-term multigenerational movement. This is different from any current political party. This is a long-term powerful anecdote to our contemporary problems. It took many years for America to arrive where she is and it will take many years to get back on track. “A party with long term vision sees itself as one link in the intergenerational chain of providential history, knowing that one generation lays the foundation upon which the next will build.”
